..and while I was gone (no, not some glamorous European tour, or even prison) I got me one of them Photobucket accounts.
So without any further (multi-tap) delay, here's some pics of my stuff.

Good to see you back, Gordy, and all that lefty gear too. Is it just me, or does your desktop PC look like "Evil Bart"?

Thanks 1BL, nice to be back and the place is looking good.

The PC is a bit embarrasing, that'll teach me to visit ebay when I'm drunk.
It's a Batman themed thing. Sad aint it.

Laughing , I've bought far worse on Fleeb when drunk - although I still think it's more of a "Bartman" theme. I'm shamefully inept at digital recording (real Stone Age era) but I twinkled at the sight of the R2R on the desk.

The R2R is a Revox B77 MK11 I got from a hospital radio station, it's my favourite piece of kit to be honest, digital is a fairly new domain for me and it takes a while to learn how to use it, but all my final mixes are put on the Revox before burning a disc.

Both my recording bands used a local musician's co-operative and we recorded on a Fostex R8 R2R and mastered down to DAT. We got quite adept at recording drums (L+R), bass and guitars simultaneously, then adding vocals, b.vox and additional guitar on the remaining track space the next day before mastering. Studio (and spare) time was at a premium so this was a good way of getting about six tracks done in a weekend.

I suppose it must be easier nowadays with digital recording but I still like the semi-live approach.
