I heard when u get EMG's installed you should get them tilted a little bit, closer to teh lower string, fartehr from teh higher...this tru?

Deth, it's one of those "ask 9 people and get 10 different answers" kind of questions Smile . The 85 is quite bassy. You can counter this by increasing the distance between the pup and the EAD strings compared with the distance to the GBE strings (the "Inverse Square Law" is involved. I'll bore you more, on request). Whether it sounds better is entirely up to you. One of the great things about uprating a guitar with new pups is that you can also spend some time finding out what you like and making the necessary adjustments.

Other ops are always interesting, but your own ears have the final say, IMHO.
