I have a Morris acoustic guitar that I bought second hand in 1980 and I'm wondering what it may be worth. It has a solid spruce top with rosewood sides and back. Inside there is what I think is the model number "W620" stamped on the center strut, along with the name Morris Gakki Co. Other than a few small love bites, it's still in great condition. I have not found any information other than the Morris Gakki Co may also be the makers of Albeniz.

thanks for your help,

old paul

Morris is the USA brand name for Moridaira guitars and, although the Morris name went a bit quiet after the mid-80s, they are back again and have a website, www.morrisguitars.com

Although I couldn't see a price for a W620 on the used market, Morris/Moridaira are well made and well regarded Japanese guitars. One of our contributors (SB) has a site www.vintaxe.com and I'm certain he has a 1982 Morris catalogue on it. The new price of that time would give you an idea of its quality and a price it might fetch now.

Thank you very much for the quick reply, now if I can just figure out how to convince my computer to allow the Morrisguitars.com website to install their ActiveX application that enables me to click on any of its menus.

thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
